Met-Scan has extensive expertise and a long history in transporting and switching video in the television and broadcast industry.
We are using that expertise to provide the corporate industry, a high quality video and media transport solution (in some cases via broadcast quality dark fiber) with video routing and switching for command and control, and long term video retrieval and storage solutions.
Video has become a foundation for this investment, from recording and aiding in the apprehension of criminals, to preventing crime altogether when used as a deterrent.
Some of our recent innovations have been;
- The use of cameras that have 360 degree field of views with multiple motion detection fields.
- Using private fiber networks to deliver broadcast quality video images.
- Delivering analog and IP signals simultaneously to allow for real time recording and IP transport flexibility.
- Tactical fiber deployments for emergency video surveillance, and temporary event installations.
- Using broadcast industry video switchers for extreme reliability, minimal latency and total viewing flexibility.
We have recently completed installations for the G8 and G20 conferences and have built command centers for some of Canada’s largest police forces.
